This week, I’m sharing a little life update straight from the heart — my daughter just graduated, and wow… what a weekend!

From all the celebration and amazing friends to the emotional curveballs (hello, real talk about identity, growth, and family dynamics), this episode is all about navigating the highs and the “whoa, I didn’t see that coming” moments of life.

I talk about what it feels like to let go, show up, and trust that love — and prayer — really can carry us through the uncertain parts. I even had a surprise moment with my son and his wife that reminded me: joy is always waiting if your heart is open.

Whether you're a parent, in transition, or just figuring it all out one day at a time… this one’s for you. 💙

💡 Key Takeaways:

  • 🎓 Milestones like graduation can bring both joy and emotional reflection.

  • 💞 Supporting your children sometimes means choosing love over full understanding.

  • 🙏 Prayer and surrender are powerful tools for peace.

  • 🤝 Community matters — we’re not meant to do life alone.

  • 🌱 Family differences can lead to personal and spiritual growth.

  • 💬 Emotional tools like honesty, acceptance, and grace are essential.

  • 💫 Joy is possible, even in uncertain times — if we’re open to it.

  • 🌍 Life is about connection — with God, with each other, and with ourselves.

In this episode of Conversations with Bizzy, I sit down with the insightful and inspiring John Brewer—someone who has walked the winding road of addiction, found faith, and now lives with purpose, joy, and deep spiritual connection.

John opens up about his battle with alcoholism, how childhood pain and a near-miss DUI became a turning point, and the powerful role Alcoholics Anonymous played in his transformation. But that’s just the beginning. What truly lit him up was discovering a higher power that led him straight into the heart of the Catholic Church.

We laugh, we reflect, and we dive deep into what it really means to live an authentic life—grounded in faith, service, and self-discovery. John shares how the Mass became his form of meditation, why confession brought unexpected freedom, and how helping others has become his mission.

We talk about everything from the power of sponsorship to the beauty of spiritual literature, and how sobriety and faith are truly soulmates on this journey. If you’re curious about how science, God, and recovery all intertwine—or just want to hear an uplifting story of redemption and hope—this episode is for you.

Tune in for a conversation full of heart, honesty, and a reminder that it’s never too late to change your story.

In this episode, I sit down with my husband on Mother’s Day to talk about something that many of us face but few of us openly discuss—family dysfunction and estrangement. We open up about our own experiences and how men and women often process emotions so differently. We touch on how social media paints a picture-perfect version of family life that just isn't real, and how easy it is to fall into comparison or a victim mindset. This conversation is about getting honest, leaning on faith, and remembering that we can only control our own actions. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s a reminder that you’re not alone.

In today’s episode, I’m getting real about transitions—the ones we see coming, and the ones that sneak up on us. With the conclave starting today, I couldn’t help but think about what it means to be in that sacred in-between space.

Whether it’s becoming a parent, watching your kids grow up, or suddenly finding yourself an empty nester—change is never easy. And let’s be honest, the middle? It’s messy. It’s uncertain. It’s quiet. And it can feel incredibly lonely.

But it’s also where healing begins.
It’s where we rediscover who we are.
It’s where God shows up in the stillness.

If you’re navigating a transition right now, this episode is for you. Let’s talk about identity, self-care, faith, and why you are never alone in your journey.

✨ Takeaways:

  • The conclave is a powerful reminder of spiritual and personal transition.

  • The “in-between” isn’t bad—it’s where growth happens.

  • Parenting changes, everything changes, but so does letting go.

  • Self-care isn’t selfish—it’s survival.

  • Your identity doesn’t end when your kids move out.

  • Silence is where you hear God and find yourself again.

  • Trusting God in the unknown brings peace.

  • You don’t have to have all the answers—just take the next right step.

  • Healing happens in stillness.

  • You’re never alone—there’s grace in the middle.

Life is short—so enjoy the ride, one day at a time.

As you all know, I’m always posting content — and lately, I've been sharing more about my journey back to Catholicism. Well, that journey brought a beautiful new friend into my life: Grace.

She called me out of the blue, and of course, I called her right back! I truly believe God placed her in my life. She is loving, kind, supportive, and a real blessing.

When the Pope passed away, I knew in my heart that I wanted to have a priest on my podcast. I reached out to several priests with no luck. So, I called Grace and asked, "Do you know any priests who might come on my podcast?" She said, "I'll reach out to Father Jeff Pomeisl — but no promises!"

Well, Grace made the call... and Father Jeff reached out to me! 🙏 I’m beyond excited to share our conversation with you today.

God is so good — always working behind the scenes!
Today we dive into:
• The challenges of navigating relationships while answering God's call
• The importance of confession, the rosary, and acts of kindness
• The current state of the Catholic Church and Pope Francis’s controversial views
• Compassionate approaches to issues like abortion, same-sex marriage, and immigration
• Spiritual clarity in confusing times and the hope found through prayer, community, and faith

We also talk about big questions like:
• How does the conclave work after a pope passes?
• Why prayer matters so much in marriage
• How purgatory and healing families are central to Catholic spirituality

This conversation is full of faith, hope, and heart — and I hope it fills you up as much as it did for me. 💛
